My experience with cats
The sky was pitch black. I was walking and saw my friend walking as well only thing was she was carrying a bowl of food. I caught up to her and asked her, " what are you doing?" "Shhhhhhh!" she exclaimed. "There is a little lost kitten, and we are going to see if we can rescue it!" she hissed, so we found the kitten put down some food, and waited. Little by little the kitten came out, unfortunately I sneezed and the kitten quickly retreated, but it must have been hungry because it came out again, and started eating. I wanted to try something so I got some food in my hand and waited. After 5 minutes my hand was numb and I was going to let it drop, but the kitten came and started eating out of my hand! I risked it, and started petting the kitten it started purring , so I pulled the kitten into my lap, and stroked it. The kitten purred even louder, but I had to let it go. I followed it, and it led me to a pile of bricks behind my neighbors house. I told my friend that the kitten ate out of my hand, and we spent a few days scouring for a kitty carrier. We finally found one,but on our way we heard loud barking, so we ran back to see what it was what we saw horrified us! The kitten was wedged behind our neighbor's dogs doghouse meowing for help, and the dog was trying to get it! Luckily the kitten escaped,so we once again found it, put the carrier down, and crouched down to persuade the kitten to go into the carrier. The first time we almost had him and he was in the carrier, but alas once again I sneezed and he bolted out. Then we got him in there again, and we got it zipped up. We had successfully caught a kitten! Because he was scared, I put a towel over the carrier to make him feel more secure. When we got back to my friend's house we pulled him out of the carrier, since I was the only one wearing jeans I got to hold him first, and he started purring. my neighbors took him to the vet, and found out he is a boy so now his name is Ginger, but I call him Dart because he looks like he has a Dart on his back! We are still considering names, but besides looking like he has a Dart on his back he strikes me as a Snickers because we found him in October and October is what my friends and I call Candy month! He has a collar too, it is black with a silver moon and stars that reflect on it plus a black bell. He is very playful, and has a very good attitude considering he was feral (an animal born and raised in the wild). Now my neighbors are trying to find someone who can take him (they can't take him because their dad is very allergic but weirdly Dart is not making him have an allergic reaction, so we hope they can keep him) hopefully he will go to a good home! I have had other experiences with cats like my cousin found a tiny Tabby/Rex on the fender of a truck, so they took it home and named her Bella, but sadly two years later she got out, and she was killed by a car that was backing out (I was sad, though it was annoying when she always hissed at me and attacked my shoes). They now have a tuxedo cat named Oreo, along with their old fat tabby named Scooba, and two new kittens named Nessie and Bob. Oreo is so funny, one time I was at my cousin's house, I was bored so I threw a marble under the bed. Oreo stalked the marble, so we threw more marbles and she kept stalking them, grouping them, sitting on them, then she stalked my head ( I haven't met Nessie or Bob yet) ! I love cats, and I hope you do to!
