Colorado

SPRING BREAK! FINALLY, no homework, no school,and sleeping in! As I am thinking this the plane gives a giant jerk, jolting me out of my thoughts. My family was heading to Colorado for our traditional spring break ski trip with a slight modification.My 15 year old cousins were coming, their first ski trip my like 9th ski trip (it's been a tradition in my family forever). As my mind zoned me out again, the plane began to descend toward tons of snow and Colorado. Finally my feet were on the ground again, but then we rented a car to go where we were staying as a result I didn't get a chance to stretch my legs at all! After an hour of torture in the car we finally reached our designation, but we weren't going to go skiing till tomorrow. Bored I put on my swimsuit and went swimming in the indoor pool, but I stepped on something  jagged that turned out to be a tooth (YUCK!)! While I was swimming, my cousins and brother came in. Then we started playing Stick in the mud, Marco Polo, and Scategories, but since I didn't have goggles I accidentally smacked my face into a wall. That was enough for me and I went to bed early with a headache. Finally the next day we geared up and went skiing since my brother and I already knew how to ski we got to get started right away, but my cousins had to go through ski school. While they were doing that, my brother and I got to go down the bunny hill without any parents. When my cousins finished ski school a few minutes later, we got on the ski lift to go to Ski Marm a medium course. Since there was a place you could go to have a snowball fight, we decided we would do that . While I was pulling off, I started going downhill, so I got down on my butt. I started going faster, and somehow I got turned around heading straight for a cedar gate! Then WHAM! I smashed face first into the gate almost breaking my nose! With my nose throbbing, I went to go get Hot Chocolate with my mom.That night we went swimming again, and my cousins dared me to go lay on my back in the snow for 5 minutes wearing only a 2 piece swim suit, so I did. JEEZ! THAT was cold! Since some kid had thrown up in the other pool, my dad said we couldn't swim there so we went to this other pool where after swimming too hard combined with endless coughing I threw up! I was laying on the couch when my cousins put the movie Rat Race on, so I watched it then fell asleep. Thankfully the day I got sick was our last day in Colorado, so we packed up,rented a rental car, and started heading to the airport, along the way my cousin offered to mix a little of his red Mountain dew with my Sprite, I tried it and felt INSTANTLY better (Red Mountain Dew and Sprite who knew?) That was the best trip I have ever been on and I will never forget it!
