On cue my mom shouted,"NO! Now honey relax we will be there in 8 hours!" I moaned, put on my headphones, and engrossed myself in a movie to kill time, then I fell asleep. When I woke up we were at our destination... Kentucky for a family reunion. As the time passed, more and more relatives of mine started arriving and by dark all of my relatives had arrived. When everyone was there, we started shooting off some minor fireworks like bottle rockets and stuff like that (one whistling bottle rocket hit a bird!). Then a little while later, when I was sitting on a car watching my dad shoot off some sparking firecrackers, one flaming spark flew backwards and landed on my foot(alas I was wearing flip flops) flaming! IT HURT! I was jumping around yelping, yelling, screaming, whimpering, refusing to let my parents do first aid on it, and running, they finally caught me, but I was squirming so much my dad accidentally spilled his drink on my foot causing the burning pain in it to cease (oddly enough). To soothe it more I put on my swimsuit and went swimming, then I got out, dried off, changed, and sat down to wait for the fireworks display. Then...BOOM! the fireworks started showering the dark valley with red, green, and gold light, also scaring my brother at it's sudden appearance (hehe). Watching the different colors dance across the sky, I realized that if I could just sit here and watch fireworks my whole life, I could never be happier. While I was watching, my dad came up to where I was sitting and told me to be careful when playing with fire, confused I asked "Why?" My dad said,"Be careful or you will burn your arm hairs off like I just did." I miffed a snicker, that is my story of my family reunion in Kentucky.
